Knee Socks

Knee socks are an odd invention if I do say so myself. How did they ever work their way into the mix? I mean really. You have pants, long johns, panty hose, do we really need the knee sock at all? Apparently the people have spoke and we do. I wore these things all the time as a boy. Even when it wasn't actually necessary. I would wear them with shorts. This has become quite the popular thing to do with some sporting events. How is it that these things came to be such a dominant force in the foot world? I now tend to be more of an ankle sock kind of guy these days. However when winter hits I always find a pair or two of the knee socks lying around. I drag em out and go through the labor of getting them pulled all the way up. A nice snug fit right to the patella. A little more or less depending on your brand and style. You can find cheap knee socks or some expensive fancy dress knee socks. Now I don't suppose that applies to too many men, but you never can tell where fashion will be headed. We might see business men with sleeveless shirts dress shorts and a pair of dress knee socks, you just never know. I want to learn everything I can about these rascals that have taken a foothold (pun intended) on our lives. I want to know who started making them, when they started selling, what they're made out of, who's wearing them today, are there any famous knee sock stories like a president wearing them. I want to find out all about them and put it all right here for the world to see. What would possess a man to do such a thing? Boredom and a taste for the nonsense side of life. What do you care? You don't have anything better to do than sit here and gather up information on such an unimportant part of life? Exactly don't go calling this kettle black pot.We have go to come to some sort of agreement here. You leave me be to pursue any knowledge I want and I won't tell everybody that you are actually reading up on knee socks :) I think we all owe it to ourselves to look deep within our wardrobe and see if we are really satisfied with the socks we've been wearing. I think our footwear plays a pretty important part in determining who we are. How can that possibly be. Our feet take us where we want to go. We go places to do things. What we do defines us. Therefore what covers your feet covers the rest. So throw out those old socks and get back on the right path in life. Do the right thing my friend, for your sake, for your family's sake, and for foot sake. Someday down the road, your feet will thank you. There you have it, my very first little posty wosty on this glorious topic. You will have to just check back later to see what rabbit holes we go down.
